Family Glitch Fixed!November 1, 2022
Group insurers must cover at-home COVID test in full as of January 15, 2022 (as of the time of this writing). They must cover vaccinations at no cost to you if insured via an Affordable Care Act health plan (this does not include Medical Sharing Programs, Short Term Health Insurance, etc.) You should take the following steps for the next several months to get these tests covered:
- You will purchase the Covid tests either on-line or at a physical retailer / pharmacy. You can also go here: covidtests.gov
- You MUST save the receipt! I recommend taking a picture of it & treating the receipt like it was cash.
- You may have to complete a reimbursement form to get the vaccine paid for. If you are a Diversified Human Solutions Client, you can ask us for a copy of the form, or get it via your company’s quickonboarding.com page.
- Mail the reimbursement form to the address, email, or fax number listed on the form. Then wait 4-8 weeks for a check to arrive in the mail.
Eventually I think the test may be covered at the point of sale from a pharmacy, but that is going to require a lot of point of sale / techy things to happen which probably won’t be done until the 2nd half of 2022 at the earliest.
